“Aren’t you that ‘Land Lady’?” Some recognize me by my white hair, casual attire, and habit of parking my SUV beside the road and disappearing into the woods carrying surveying tape. Meeting new people I often hear “your name’s on my plat!” “You sold my sister her lake lot.” “You helped my brother get a conventional septic permit and saved him a PILE of money.” “I’m so glad you saved the trees in that new development.” Indeed my name is on many plats, septic permits, and large-lot subdivision plans in Richland, Lexington and Newberry counties. I LOVE selling land, understand it’s totally different from selling houses, and constantly hone the skills required to protect and serve my clients. But I also hear this: “that flip house REALLY turned out nice! I love your design.” “Mom couldn’t believe how helpful you were selling our family home and getting her into a one-story she could manage.” “I am SO glad you talked me out of that money pit I was in love with!” Licensed in 1996, many millions in sales later, I can do it all. How did I get here??? Seemingly random life experiences converged to usher me into a lasting real estate career. Born and raised in the Midlands, attending Irmo schools, I enjoyed fishing and boating on Lake Murray and the Saluda, sports, riding horses, and hiking. On the other hand I loved drawing, singing, attending church youth activities, and trying new recipes with my mother. I even learned to sew! But “oddly” (as expressed by my lovely mom) I particularly enjoyed shadowing my dad and business pals as they transformed acreage into large-lot communities known to this day for stewardship of trees, wildlife and water. My higher education began in Art but ended in Accounting – go figure! My first career was 17 years in banking - financial analysis, compliance and Project Management - followed by a brief consulting stint streamlining processes for dysfunctional offices, then a longer stretch as café owner and caterer wherein my customer service skills were certainly put to the test! I did well, but always felt like something more fulfilling was in store for me - then came REAL ESTATE. Real Estate is a great fit for me – and my clients are the beneficiaries! In real estate, my traits, interests and activities, education and professional paths are ALL put to good use! Creativity, common sense and logical thinking share equal billing. I work hard, think outside the box, and close deals. Whether dealing with buyers or sellers in traditional residential transactions, with investors, or with builders looking for lots, I firmly believe a laser focus on meeting client objectives is paramount; objectives are unique to and must be defined by each client. I interact equally at ease with clerks or CEOs. Less experienced clients appreciate how I break down complexities into manageable steps. As to investors, I am not afraid of calculated risks, but am also well-grounded in reality and know when to walk away. I do LOVE a challenge! I have rehabbed homes considered “tear-downs,” obtained development approvals when others failed, cleared up title issues and sold properties deemed unsaleable. Bring it on! I’m proud to be associated with EXIT Palmetto Real Estate Services. Backed by a widely known international brand, but independently owned and managed by “locals”, you’ll get the best of both worlds. EXIT Palmetto has all the latest in technology, communications and market presence, but best of all, believes people come first! If you believe experience matters, contact me with your next real estate need. You won’t be disappointed.

Times have indeed changed in our lifetime, attention to make adjustments in all aspects of life have become the norm. As we endure the discomfort as a nation through COVID-19 pandemic as well as experiencing a level of political turmoil, the lesson I believe we may take collectively is that we need to increase our independent ability to survive and maintain a sustainable lifestyle. One must improve their individual efforts in preparation for the turbulence life brings, while grasping a firm hold in which will provide stability. Those stability forces for me include faith, family and forging a path to prosperity for each person and family I am privileged to serve. I serve people who are moving through different stages of their lives. Whether a client is seeking a first home, upsizing, rightsizing, downsizing, or into a retirement community, I am humbled to be a part of the process. Prior to becoming a licensed real estate agent, I served in various healthcare roles including nursing, pharmaceutical sales, and practice management. My vast career experiences in healthcare have taught me perception, leadership, and relational skills that translate well into my role as a real estate agent. The total sum of my experiences, both professionally and personally, is that I love helping people. I vowed to exemplify the real estate agent fiduciary duties of Loyalty, Confidentiality, Disclosure, Obedience, Reasonable care and diligence, and Accounting. Beyond that, what can you expect from me? My very best Competence That I don't have all the answers but have no problem asking for help Attention to detail Organized Problem solving Teamwork Compassion The heart of a coach The best part of me joining this dynamic world of real estate is that I get to work with my business partner, Becky Traynham, who has 20+ years of real estate sales experience. Not only is she my real estate business partner, but she is also my sister and best friend! Together we make quite the dynamic duo. On a more personal note, I was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. My father's career took our family to Kosciusko, MS and then Memphis, TN. My mom, sister, and I moved to the midlands of South Carolina in 1984. I attended Midlands Technical College for nursing, and later the Medical University of South Carolina where I earned a Bachelor of Health Science. In 2011 my second husband and I began the exciting challenge of blending a family of three fabulous kids. While tough at times, raising three wonderful kids into sweet, caring, funny adults has been quite a rewarding experience. We have two very sweet goldendoodles, and enjoy boating, fishing, golfing, and traveling.

I've been serving sellers and buyers in the Midlands since 2001. In recent years, my husband and I have "flipped" a few houses, I obtained my residential appraiser's license, got certified as an interior designer and home stager and I went back to school to earn a bachelor's degree in Small Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. In 2021, my sister and best friend, Mary Ann Teal, joined me in real estate and together we are Sister Show Realty. Selling or Buying The desire to buy or sell real estate is the easy part. Actually doing it is... well, overwhelming to most. Forms, negotiating, knowing who to call and when, realtor-speak, pricing, closing costs... HUH? We can help! We come highly recommended for helping buyers and sellers sort through the buying and selling process to accomplish their goals. We pride ourselves on educating our clients on how they should expect to be represented. Buyers and Sellers, you're in the driver seat, all you need is to know where to go and how to get there. Up-sizing, Re-sizing or Down-sizing As our population ages, many families are faced with tough decisions when it comes to the Senior Saints near and dear to their hearts. Beyond selling the family home, care-givers need help with personal items a.k.a. "the stuff". The resources we offer include sorting and selling as well as moving the stuff. We know it's a tough process, we've been through it and helped many families do the same. We can HELP! Hiring a REALTOR to help you shouldn't be taken lightly. As the Client, you should know what your agent will do for you and the fiduciary duties owed to you. Call us... we'd love to interview for the job!
