My name is Carl McClure and I specialize in helping buyers and sellers invest in real estate in the South Carolina areas of Irmo, Chapin, Lexington, Columbia NE and Lake Murray. Prior to becoming a real estate agent, I was a teacher and coach for over 30 years in the Columbia and Newberry areas. This along with being in real estate since 2005 has allowed me to become very knowledgeable of the schools, and neighborhoods in the Columbia area. I was born in Dayton, Tenn and moved to Hixson, Tenn at age 7. I graduated from Hixson High School then attended MTSU for 2 yrs. From MTSU, I went on active duty in the Navy. 3yrs later I returned to MTSU and received my B.S. and M. Ed degrees in education. My first teaching job was at Taylors Elementary in Greer, SC. After 1yr there and another year at Nutex Chemicals as the plant manager I came to the Columbia area. I have taught school at Seven Oaks Elementary, Chapin Elementary, Nursery Road Elementary, Mid Carolina Middle, and Birchwood High. After 30+ years of teaching and coaching I went into real estate. The same work ethics, drive, and people skills that made me a successful coach and teacher also make me the realtor for you.
