Chapin Middle School10

Chapin, SC | Lexington County

I have been impressed with Chapin Middle School in there ability to work with each child individually. Although the school is rather large, each teacher has taken an interest in my child and helped her succeed. I have also been impressed with the way that they have found ways to incorporate interesting topics and studies for the kids. They have positive role models and really strive to do the best for each student.

I love this school. I'm on my second child here. The first really prospered and learned responsibility. The second looks forward to school every day. She, too, is really maturing under the guidance and leadership of the teachers and administration at this school. Plus the academics are excellent!

This is an awesome school! Good leadership and direction comes from the principal and assistant principals, the teachers are motivated and highly qualified, and students are held to high (but attainable) expectations. We have nothing but praise for CMS. --Proud parent of a CMS student

Not only is this the best school in the state, it is the best school in the district! I am very pleased with the staff. I have NEVER seen my children so happy and feel so safe in any other school! Finally I have found a school that will put children in their place. Hats off to Mrs.Crawford! -Happy Mom

The principle does not communicate well with parents regarding discipline. We are constantly being kept out of the loop, or told only partial information. They give us the impression that they can do whatever they want and keeping the parents involved is secondary if they have time. My child is not a saint, but I was told that the school has a problem trusting my child. This means to me that when he is spoken to it is assumed from the start that my child is lying and that is not right. It is also unacceptable. Someone needs to explain to the principle that she is not dealing with hardened criminals, just 11-14 year old children!

The school is very well organized in all areas. Faculity and staff seem to really care that a child works to their potential. Our daughter is happier than she has every been in the school setting. He attitude and grades show it.
